Its unique blend of pure white vinegar, garden-fresh mint leaves, and cooling cucumber creates a symphony of flavors that is renowned for its health benefits. It has a crisp, tangy taste from the vinegar, balanced with soothing sweetness from the honey and a refreshing kick from the cucumber and mint. This drink is traditionally enjoyed on hot summer days, offering a rejuvenating experience that helps beat the heat.
Ingredients
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey
- 2 tablespoons
- White vinegar
- 1/4 cup
- Fresh mint leaves
- 15-20 leaves
- Cucumber
- 1, medium size, thinly sliced
- Water
- 1 litre
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, add thinly sliced cucumber, fresh mint leaves, white vinegar, honey, and salt.
- Pour water into the pitcher, ensuring that the other ingredients are fully submerged.
- Stir the mixture well until the honey and salt are completely dissolved.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This allows the flavors to infuse and create a harmonious blend.
- Before serving, give the mixture a good stir to evenly distribute the flavors. Serve chilled, with additional mint leaves as garnish if desired.
Tips
- For a more pronounced flavor, let the mixture sit in the refrigerator overnight.
- Adjust the quantities of honey and vinegar according to your taste preference. More honey will make the drink sweeter, while more vinegar will make it tangier.
- For a refreshing twist, you can add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice.
