Acre Arab Coffee

Arabic coffee, also known as Qahwa Arabiyya, is a traditional Middle Eastern coffee made with cardamom and served in small cups.

Ingredients

  • Sugar (optional, to taste)
  • Water (2 cups)
  • Cardamom pods (4 pods, crushed)
  • Arabic coffee beans (1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Grind the Arabic coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency.
  2. In a coffee pot or small saucepan, add the crushed cardamom pods and water.
  3. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Add the ground coffee to the boiling water and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the coffee grounds to settle.
  6. Pour the Arabic coffee into small cups, leaving the coffee grounds at the bottom of the pot.
  7. Serve the Arabic coffee hot and optionally sweeten with sugar according to taste.
