Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Apples
- 4 medium-sized, preferably granny smith or honeycrisp
- Sugar
- 2 tablespoons
- Ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Wash and core the apples, then slice them thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife, aiming for about 1/8 inch thickness for optimal crispiness.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon until evenly combined.
- Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the apple slices, ensuring an even coating.
- Air fry the apple slices for 60 minutes, flipping them halfway through to promote even cooking.
- After 60 minutes, check the chips for desired crispiness. If they are not yet crispy enough, continue air frying for an additional 15-30 minutes, checking every 5 minutes to prevent burning.
- Once crispy, carefully remove the apple chips from the air fryer and let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
