Indulge in the warm, buttery goodness of homemade biscuits made effortlessly in the air fryer! These fluffy, golden delights are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a tasty snack. With a crispy exterior and tender, flaky interior, they can be enjoyed plain or slathered with your favorite jam, honey, or gravy. The air fryer not only speeds up the cooking process but also gives these biscuits a delightful texture that's hard to resist. Originating in the Southern United States, biscuits have long been a staple of comfort food, often served alongside fried chicken or as a base for biscuits and gravy.

Servings: 8

Ingredients

All-purpose flour
2 cups
Baking powder
1 tablespoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Cold unsalted butter
1/4 cup, cubed
Milk
3/4 cup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add the cold, cubed unsalted butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs, with some larger pieces remaining for added flakiness.
  3. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix, as this can lead to dense biscuits.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead it a few times to bring the dough together, being careful not to overwork it.
  5. Roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits from the dough, placing them on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Carefully place the tray with the biscuits in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Once cooked, remove the biscuits from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them plain or with butter, honey, or your favorite preserves.
