
Air Fryer Calamari
Crispy and delicious calamari made in the air fryer.
Ingredients
- Marinara sauce (for serving)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Cooking spray (as needed)
- Egg (1, beaten)
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Paprika (1 teaspoon)
- Cornmeal (1/2 cup)
- All (purpose flour - 1/2 cup)
- Calamari rings (1 pound)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each calamari ring into the beaten egg, then coat it in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated calamari rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
- Lightly spray the calamari rings with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the calamari is golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and marinara sauce for dipping.
