Servings: 12

Ingredients

All-purpose flour
2 cups
Granulated sugar
1/2 cup
Baking powder
2 teaspoons
Salt
1/4 teaspoon
Milk
3/4 cup
Egg
1, beaten
Unsalted butter
2 tablespoons, melted
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Powdered sugar
for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, beaten egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth and well combined.
  3. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be cautious not to overmix, as this can result in dense donuts.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Transfer the donut batter into a piping bag or a ziplock bag with one corner snipped off.
  7. Pipe the batter into the air fryer basket in a circular shape to form the classic donut shape, leaving some space between each donut for expansion.
  8. Cook the donuts in the air fryer for 5 minutes, then carefully flip them over and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Remove the donuts from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack.
  10. Dust the warm donuts with powdered sugar just before serving for an added touch of sweetness.
