Butter
4 tablespoons, softened
Cheddar cheese
4 slices (or more to taste)
Bread
2 slices (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
Garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon (optional, for added flavor)
Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon (optional, for a tangy twist)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread 2 tablespoons of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread. If using, sprinkle garlic powder on the buttered side for extra flavor.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard for a hint of tanginess.
  4. Layer 2 slices of cheddar cheese on top of the unbuttered side, then place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
