Ingredients
- Elbow macaroni
- 8 ounces
- Unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons
- All-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons
- Milk
- 2 cups
- Sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups, shredded
- Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup, grated
- Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup
- Salt

Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in the all-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
