Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with melted butter to prevent sticking.
- Scoop 1/4 cup of batter onto the greased air fryer basket for each pancake, leaving enough space between each pancake to allow for expansion.
- Cook the pancakes in the air fryer for 5 minutes. Carefully flip them over and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter until all pancakes are cooked.
- Serve the pancakes warm, topped with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruits, or whipped cream.
Tips
- For added flavor, consider mixing in chocolate chips, blueberries, or nuts into the batter.
- If you prefer thicker pancakes, you can add an extra tablespoon of flour to the batter.
- To keep pancakes warm while cooking the rest, place them on a plate in a low-temperature oven (around 200°F or 93°C).
