Ingredients

Pizza Dough
1 pound, store-bought or homemade
Olive Oil
2 tablespoons
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon
Italian Seasoning
1 teaspoon
Pizza Sauce
1/2 cup, store-bought or homemade
Mozzarella Cheese
1 1/2 cups, shredded
Fresh Basil
1/4 cup, for garnish
Toppings of Your Choice
as desired (e.g., pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circle or desired shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Carefully place the rolled-out pizza dough in the air fryer basket.
  4. Brush the dough evenly with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
  5. Cook the dough in the air fryer for 5 minutes to pre-bake it until lightly golden.
  6. Remove the pre-baked dough from the air fryer and spread pizza sauce evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, followed by your choice of toppings.
  8. Return the pizza to the air fryer and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
  9. Once cooked, remove the pizza from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and slice to serve hot.

Tips

  • 💡 For a crispier crust, you can air fry the dough for an extra minute before adding the sauce and toppings.
  • 💡 Experiment with different cheese blends, such as provolone or parmesan, for added flavor.
  • 💡 To make a homemade pizza sauce, blend canned tomatoes with garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt.
