An easy and delicious twist on a classic Italian-American appetizer, our Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli brings you the perfect combination of a crisp breadcrumb exterior and a luscious, cheesy interior. Originating from St. Louis, Missouri, this dish is traditionally deep-fried, but our version leverages an air fryer for a healthier take without compromising on the golden crunch. Perfectly paired with a tangy marinara sauce, this appetizer is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

Marinara sauce
1 cup, for dipping
Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon
Grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup
Breadcrumbs
1 cup
Egg
1, beaten
Frozen ravioli
12 pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Dip each frozen ravioli into the beaten egg, ensuring it's fully coated, then dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  4. Place the coated ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don't overlap to achieve maximum crispiness.
  5. Cook for 6 minutes, then carefully flip the ravioli using tongs and cook for an additional 6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve the toasted ravioli warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
