Servings: 4

Ingredients

Extra firm tofu
14 ounces, pressed and cut into bite-sized cubes
Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
Cornstarch
2 tablespoons
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Paprika
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Cooking spray
as needed

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu using a tofu press or by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Whisk well to create a smooth marinade.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to ensure all pieces are well coated. Allow the tofu to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Arrange the marinated tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  7. Cook the tofu for 10 minutes, then carefully flip the cubes and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
  8. Remove the tofu from the air fryer and serve hot as a snack, or toss it into your favorite stir-fry, salad, or grain bowl.
