Serves 8

Ingredients

Fresh parsley
1 cup, finely chopped
Fresh oregano
1/4 cup, finely chopped
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Red wine vinegar
1/4 cup
Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup
Red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped parsley and oregano with the minced garlic.
  2. Add in the red wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Taste the chimichurri and adjust the seasonings if needed, adding more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes to your liking.
  5. Allow the chimichurri to rest for at least 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together and intensify.
  6. Serve the chimichurri as a marinade for your favorite grilled meats or use it as a vibrant dipping sauce or drizzling condiment. Enjoy!

Tips

  • 💡 For the best flavor, make the chimichurri a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator overnight.
  • 💡 If you prefer a smoother sauce, you can pulse the ingredients in a food processor instead of chopping and mixing by hand.
  • 💡 Chimichurri can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
