Ingredients

Original recipe serves 1

Cocoa powder
1 teaspoon, for garnish
Sugar
1 teaspoon, or to taste
Milk
1/2 cup
Armagnac
1 ounce
Espresso
1 shot

Instructions

  1. Brew a shot of espresso using your preferred method and set it aside.
  2. Gently heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Be careful not to let it boil.
  3. When the milk is hot, use a milk frother or a whisk to create a creamy and foamy texture.
  4. Pour the hot espresso into a large coffee mug.
  5. Stir in the Armagnac and sugar into the espresso. Continue stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  6. Carefully pour the frothy milk over the espresso mixture, using a spoon to hold back the foam until the end.
  7. Top your Armagnac Macchiato with a spoonful of the retained foam.
  8. Sprinkle the cocoa powder over the top as a garnish and serve while still hot.
