Servings: 12

Ingredients

Banana cake mix
1 box
Eggs
3 large
Vegetable oil
1/2 cup
Water
1 cup
Vanilla pudding mix
1 box (3.4 oz)
Milk
2 cups
Bananas
2 medium, sliced
Strawberry pie filling
1 can (21 oz)
Pineapple pie filling
1 can (21 oz)
Whipped cream
2 cups, for topping
Cherries
for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the banana cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
  4. While the cake is cooling, prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions, using the milk instead of water for a creamier texture.
  5. Once the cake has cooled, carefully slice it horizontally into three even layers.
  6. Place the bottom layer on a serving plate and spread half of the prepared vanilla pudding over the top. Evenly arrange the banana slices over the pudding.
  7. Add the second layer of cake on top of the bananas, and spread the remaining pudding over this layer. Spoon the strawberry pie filling over the pudding, spreading it evenly.
  8. Top with the final layer of cake, then spread the pineapple pie filling over it.
  9. Generously cover the entire cake with whipped cream, smoothing it out for an elegant finish.
  10. Garnish the top with cherries for a pop of color and flavor.
  11. Refrigerate the assembled cake for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to firm up.
