Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the banana cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
- While the cake is cooling, prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions, using the milk instead of water for a creamier texture.
- Once the cake has cooled, carefully slice it horizontally into three even layers.
- Place the bottom layer on a serving plate and spread half of the prepared vanilla pudding over the top. Evenly arrange the banana slices over the pudding.
- Add the second layer of cake on top of the bananas, and spread the remaining pudding over this layer. Spoon the strawberry pie filling over the pudding, spreading it evenly.
- Top with the final layer of cake, then spread the pineapple pie filling over it.
- Generously cover the entire cake with whipped cream, smoothing it out for an elegant finish.
- Garnish the top with cherries for a pop of color and flavor.
- Refrigerate the assembled cake for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to firm up.
Tips
- For added texture, consider folding in some crushed pineapple into the pudding before layering.
- Feel free to swap out the fruit fillings with your favorites, such as blueberries or raspberries.
- This cake can be made a day in advance; just be sure to keep it covered in the refrigerator.
