  • All-purpose flour (4 tablespoons)
  • Milk (2 cups)
  • Heavy cream (1 cup)
  • Grated cheese (such as Gruyère or Parmesan) (1 cup)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pot of salted water, boil the sliced potatoes until tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic, cooking until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the soaked and drained cod to the pan, cooking for another 5 minutes until it starts to flake. Remove from heat and set aside.

  8. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the cod and cream mixture. Top with the remaining potato slices.
  9. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top layer.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
