Servings: 1

Ingredients

Unsalted butter
1 tablespoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon, freshly ground
Salt
1/4 teaspoon
Sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup, shredded
Large eggs
3
Bacon
3 strips, cooked and crumbled
Chives
1 tablespoon, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs vigorously until they are frothy. This will ensure a fluffy omelette. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Heat up a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the unsalted butter. Allow it to melt and coat the bottom of the skillet.
  3. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet, tilting it to spread the eggs evenly. Let them cook undisturbed until the edges start to set, about 1 minute.
  4. Evenly distribute the crumbled bacon and shredded sharp cheddar cheese over half of the omelette.
  5. Using a spatula, gently fold the other half of the omelette over the bacon and cheese. Let it cook for another minute, or until the cheese is melted and gooey.
  6. Carefully slide the omelette onto a plate. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped chives for a pop of color and extra flavor.
  7. Serve your Bacon and Cheddar Omelette hot, preferably with a side of toasted bread or a fresh salad. Enjoy this delightful breakfast that's sure to kickstart your day!
