Cheddar cheese
1 slice
Bread
2 slices (your choice: white, whole grain, or sourdough)
Butter
1 tablespoon
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste
Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess fat.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, allowing it to coat the bottom evenly.
  3. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.), seasoning with salt and pepper as it cooks.
  4. While the egg is cooking, toast the bread slices in a toaster or in another skillet until golden brown.
