This recipe is perfect for a hearty weekend brunch or a unique breakfast-for-dinner option. Over time, different regions have added their own unique spins on this classic, and our recipe brings together the timeless pairing of bacon and eggs in a delicious new way.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Paprika
1 teaspoon
Onion powder
1 teaspoon
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Breadcrumbs
1/2 cup
Eggs
2, beaten
Ground pork
1 pound
Bacon
4 slices, cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Cook and crumble the bacon. Set it aside to cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooled, crumbled bacon, ground pork, beaten eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until evenly distributed.
  4. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a round, flat patty.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Make sure the skillet is large enough to accommodate the patties without crowding.
  6. Add the patties to the skillet. Cook them for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they're cooked through and browned. Ensure the patties reach an internal temperature of 160°F for food safety.
  7. Serve the patties hot. They pair wonderfully with toast, fresh fruit, or a side of home fries.
