This delightful summer specialty features crispy bacon, juicy fresh peaches, and a drizzle of spicy hot honey on thinly sliced toasted sourdough bread. The vibrant combination of flavors and textures makes for a perfect brunch or light lunch option. The sweet and spicy hot honey elevates the dish, creating a unique and delicious experience that captures the essence of summer.

Ingredients

Sourdough bread
4 slices, thinly sliced
Bacon
8 slices
Fresh peaches
2, thinly sliced
Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
Hot honey
to taste
Fresh basil or arugula
for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lay the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crispy. Remove from the oven and let drain on paper towels.
  3. While the bacon is baking, toast the thinly sliced sourdough bread in a toaster or on a grill until golden brown.
  4. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each slice of toasted sourdough.
  5. Layer the crispy bacon on top of the mayonnaise, followed by the thinly sliced peaches.
  6. Drizzle hot honey over the peaches and bacon, adjusting the amount to your desired level of heat.
