Ingredients

  • Toothpicks (16)
  • Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Paprika (1 teaspoon)
  • Brown sugar (2 tablespoons)
  • Bacon slices (8, cut in half)
  • Large shrimp (16, peeled and deveined)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Wrap each shrimp with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the bacon wrapped shrimp, coating them evenly.
  5. Place the shrimp on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
