Bahn Mi Dog

Ingredients

Hot dogs

Baguettes

4, preferably vietnamese-style

Cucumber

1, thinly sliced

Fresh cilantro

1/2 cup, chopped

Jalapeno

1, sliced thinly (optional for extra heat)

Pickled carrots and daikon radish

1 cup (store-bought or homemade)

Mayonnaise

1/4 cup

Sriracha

2 tablespoons

Instructions

1. Cook the hot dogs according to the package instructions, either by boiling, grilling, or pan-frying until heated through.
2. While the hot dogs are cooking, prepare the spicy mayo by mixing the mayonnaise and Sriracha together in a small bowl. Adjust the Sriracha to taste for desired spiciness.
3. Slice the baguettes in half lengthwise, taking care not to cut all the way through. Lightly toast them if desired for extra crunch.
4. Spread a generous layer of the spicy mayo on the inside of each baguette.
5. Place a hot dog in each baguette, ensuring it fits snugly.
6. Top each Bahn Mi Dog with a handful of pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber slices, fresh cilantro, and jalapeno slices if you like it spicy.
7. Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy the explosion of flavors!
