- Canned baked beans

- Bread slices

- Unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons, softened
- Grated cheese
- 1 cup (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend)
- Chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons, for garnish
- Hot sauce

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan, heat the canned baked beans over medium heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally. If desired, add cooked bacon or sausage at this stage for an extra flavor boost.
- While the beans are heating, toast the bread slices until golden and crispy using a toaster or oven.
- Spread a generous amount of softened butter on one side of each toasted slice.
- Once the beans are heated, divide them evenly among the buttered side of the toast slices.
- Season the baked beans with salt and black pepper to taste, stirring to combine.
- If desired, sprinkle a generous amount of grated cheese over the beans on each toast slice.
