Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot, cook the mostaccioli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the pasta.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. This dish can be garnished with fresh basil or parsley for added flavor and presentation.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the meat mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
