Baked Ramen

This delicious baked ramen dish is a twist on the classic Japanese noodle soup. It's packed with flavor and topped with a crispy breadcrumb and cheese crust.

Ingredients

  • Green onions (2, chopped)
  • Parmesan cheese (1/4 cup, grated)
  • Breadcrumbs (1/2 cup)
  • Water (2 tablespoons)
  • Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
  • Chicken broth (2 cups)
  • Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • Mushrooms (8 ounces, sliced)
  • Bell pepper (1, thinly sliced)
  • Carrot (1, thinly sliced)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Onion (1, diced)
  • Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Ramen noodles (4 packs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, chicken broth, cornstarch, and water. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the vegetables. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. In a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the ramen.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
