Servings: 10

Ingredients

Graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 cups
Unsalted butter
1/2 cup, melted
Cream cheese
16 oz, softened
Granulated sugar
1 cup
Sour cream
1/2 cup
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Ripe bananas
2, mashed
Caramel sauce
1/2 cup, plus extra for drizzling
Whipped cream
1 cup, for topping
Banana slices
1-2, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust.
  3. In another mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until fully incorporated and creamy.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust in the springform pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set and slightly golden on top. The center should still have a slight jiggle.
  7. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to set completely.
  8. Before serving, drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake. Garnish with whipped cream and banana slices for a beautiful presentation.
  9. Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy the delightful combination of flavors!
