Servings: 4

Ingredients

Ripe bananas
2, for blending
Banana slices
1, for garnish
Milk
2 cups
Sugar
1/2 cup
Cornstarch
2 tablespoons
Egg yolks
3
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Whipped cream
1 cup, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the ripe bananas, milk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and egg yolks. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or spatula. Continue to cook until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the custard cool for a few minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.
  4. Pour the custard into individual serving dishes or ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  5. Before serving, top each custard with a generous dollop of whipped cream and garnish with banana slices for an extra touch of sweetness.
