Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
- Place the barramundi fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for a stronger flavor).
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- Remove the barramundi from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the marinade.
- Grease the grill grates lightly with oil to prevent sticking. Place the barramundi fillets on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the grilled barramundi from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Tips
- For added flavor, consider squeezing fresh lemon juice over the fish just before serving.
- Barramundi pairs wonderfully with a mango salsa or a refreshing cucumber salad.
- Feel free to experiment with the herbs; dill or parsley can also complement the fish beautifully.
