Ingredients

Original recipe serves 1

Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon, plus extra for garnish
Brown sugar
2 tablespoons, packed
Milk
1 cup (whole, skim, or plant-based milk)
Espresso or strong brewed coffee
1 shot (about 1 ounce) or 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Begin by brewing a shot of espresso or preparing a strong cup of coffee (about 1/2 cup).
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally to avoid scorching.
  3. Once the milk is heated, add in the packed brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir continuously until both the sugar and cinnamon are fully dissolved.
  4. To create a frothy texture, pour the hot milk mixture into a blender and blend on high speed for about 30 seconds, being cautious of the hot liquid.
  5. In your favorite mug, pour the shot of espresso or brewed coffee.
  6. Slowly pour the frothed milk over the coffee, using a spoon to hold back the foam if desired.
  7. Finish by sprinkling a pinch of cinnamon on top for added flavor and presentation.
  8. Serve hot and savor the rich, sweet, and comforting flavors!

Tips

  • 💡 For a richer flavor, use whole milk or oat milk.
  • 💡 Try adding a splash of vanilla extract for an extra layer of flavor.
  • 💡 If you prefer a sweeter drink, adjust the amount of brown sugar to your taste.
