Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
  • Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Oyster sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • Soy sauce (3 tablespoons)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Snow peas (2 cups, trimmed)
  • Beef sirloin (1 pound, thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add beef slices and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger. Stir fry for 1 minute.
  5. Add snow peas and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until crisp-tender.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the beef and snow peas.
  7. Stir fry for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and snow peas.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
