Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef sirloin, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Set aside for later use.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
- Add the marinated beef slices to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets, sliced bell peppers, and julienned carrots. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender and vibrant in color.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and add the chopped green onions. Stir everything together to combine.
- Pour the cornstarch slurry over the beef and vegetables, stirring well to coat everything in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
- Season the stir fry with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, add sliced chili peppers or a dash of sriracha sauce while stir-frying.
- Feel free to swap out vegetables based on your preferences or seasonal availability. Snow peas, snap peas, or bok choy can be excellent alternatives.
- For a gluten-free option, substitute soy sauce with tamari.
