
Berber Spiced Coffee
This aromatic Berber spiced coffee is a traditional North African beverage infused with warm spices.
Ingredients
- Milk (1/2 cup)
- Sugar (2 teaspoons)
- Water (2 cups)
- Cloves (4)
- Cinnamon stick (1)
- Cardamom pods (4, crushed)
- Ground coffee (2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the ground coffee, crushed cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, and water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the coffee steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the coffee into cups or mugs.
- Stir in sugar to taste.
- Heat the milk in a separate saucepan or microwave until hot.
- Pour the hot milk into the coffee and stir gently.
