Ingredients

Boneless meat (chicken, lamb, or goat)
500 grams
Fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon
Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon
Cumin powder
1 teaspoon
Coriander powder
1 teaspoon
Red chili powder
1 teaspoon
Salt
to taste
Cooking oil
2 tablespoons
Onion, finely chopped
1 medium
Tomatoes, chopped
2 medium
Green chilies, chopped
2
Fresh cilantro, chopped
for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add the boneless meat, grated ginger, minced garlic, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well, ensuring the meat is well coated with the spices. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Next, add the marinated meat to the pan. Sauté the meat until it turns brown and is well-coated with the spices.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies to the pan. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes until the tomatoes soften and the flavors meld together.
  5. Cover the pan and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro before serving. Enjoy your Bhuteko Masu hot with rice or roti.

Tips

  • 💡 You can adjust the amount of green chilies and red chili powder to suit your preferred level of spiciness.
  • 💡 Marinating the meat for longer, preferably overnight, will yield more flavorful results.
