Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water, vegetable oil, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, carefully pour the hot mixture over the tapioca flour in a large mixing bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined and no dry flour remains.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly for about 5-10 minutes. Once it's warm but not hot, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until you achieve a smooth and pliable dough.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle. Pipe the dough onto the prepared baking sheet in small circles or sticks, leaving some space in between each for spreading.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool completely on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy your delicious Biscoito de Polvilho!
Tips
- For a cheesy variation, add 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the dough before piping.
- Experiment with spices such as garlic powder or paprika for a unique twist on the flavor.
