Ingredients
- Beef sirloin
- 1 pound, thinly sliced
- Bell peppers
- 2, sliced (any color)
- Onion
- 1 medium, sliced
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger
- 1 tablespoon, minced
- Green onions
- 3, chopped (for garnish)
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper
- 1 tablespoon, freshly ground
- Oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch until smooth. Set the sauce mixture aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
- Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir fry for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender and vibrant.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables, stirring continuously for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats all ingredients.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
