Servings: 4

Ingredients

Beef sirloin
1 pound, thinly sliced
Bell peppers
2, sliced (any color)
Onion
1 medium, sliced
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Ginger
1 tablespoon, minced
Green onions
3, chopped (for garnish)
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Cornstarch
1 tablespoon
Black pepper
1 tablespoon, freshly ground
Oyster sauce
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
3 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch until smooth. Set the sauce mixture aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir fry for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender and vibrant.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables, stirring continuously for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats all ingredients.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
  8. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
