Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Beef sirloin (1 pound, thinly sliced)
- Bell peppers (2, sliced (any color))
- Onion (1 medium, sliced)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Ginger (1 tablespoon, minced)
- Green onions (3, chopped (for garnish))
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
- Black pepper (1 tablespoon, freshly ground)
- Oyster sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Soy sauce (3 tablespoons)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch until smooth. Set the sauce mixture aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
- Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir fry for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender and vibrant.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables, stirring continuously for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats all ingredients.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
