- Fresh blackberries
- 1 cup, gently washed

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar together with an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

- Sprinkle the sliced almonds evenly over the top of the batter for added crunch.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar for a lovely finishing touch.
Tips
- For an extra flavor boost, consider adding a tablespoon of almond extract along with the vanilla.
- Feel free to substitute raspberries or blueberries for blackberries, or use a mix of berries for a colorful twist.
- This cake pairs beautifully with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
