Ingredients

Original recipe serves 12

Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon, and additional to taste
Salt
1/4 teaspoon, and additional to taste
Balsamic glaze
1/4 cup
Fresh basil leaves
12 leaves
Honey
1/4 cup
Blackberries
1 pint
Goat cheese
8 ounces
Baguette
1 loaf
Olive oil
2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices. You should get about 12 slices.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season evenly with salt and pepper.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the slices are golden and crispy.
  5. While the bread is baking, mix the goat cheese with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and black pepper in a small bowl.
  6. Once the baguette slices are ready, let them cool slightly. Then, spread a generous amount of the seasoned goat cheese onto each slice.
  7. Top each crostini with two to three blackberries. Drizzle the honey evenly across all the crostini.
  8. Garnish each crostini with a fresh basil leaf. Then, drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top.
  9. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture. Enjoy!
