Ingredients
- Bacon (8 slices)
- Bread (4 slices (your choice, such as whole grain or sourdough))
- Lettuce (1 cup, washed and dried (such as romaine or iceberg))
- Tomato (1 large, sliced)
- Avocado (1 ripe, sliced)
- Mayonnaise (1/4 cup)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- 1. Begin by cooking the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess grease.
- 2. While the bacon is cooking, toast the bread slices in a toaster or in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
- 3. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise with a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste. This will create a flavorful dressing for your sandwich.
- 4. Generously spread the seasoned mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
- 5. On two of the bread slices (mayo side up), layer the lettuce, followed by the sliced tomatoes. Next, add the crispy bacon and finish with the avocado slices.
- 6. Season the layers with additional salt and pepper to taste for an extra flavor boost.
- 7. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayo side down, to complete the sandwich.
- 8. Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and serve immediately for the best texture and taste.
