Classic BLT Sandwich
Indulge in this timeless BLT sandwich, boasting crispy, smoky bacon, fresh and crunchy lettuce, and ripe, juicy tomatoes. Nestled between two slices of golden-brown toasted bread spread with a generous layer of creamy mayonnaise, this sandwich is a perfect combination of textures and flavors. Originating from the tea sandwiches served in the Victorian era, the BLT has stood the test of time and remains an American classic.
Ingredients
- Bacon
- 6 slices
- Bread
- 4 slices
- Mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons
- Romaine Lettuce
- 4 leaves
- Tomato
- 1 large, sliced
- Salt

- Black Pepper

Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Turn occasionally for even cooking.
- Once the bacon is crispy, remove it from the skillet and drain the excess fat on paper towels.
- Toast the bread slices until they reach a golden-brown color. You can use a toaster or a hot skillet for this.
- Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice.
- On two bread slices, layer a lettuce leaf, a few tomato slices, and three slices of crispy bacon. Season the layers with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Cover the seasoned layers with the remaining bread slices, mayonnaise side down.
- Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally for a classic presentation and serve immediately.
