Ingredients

Original recipe serves 6

Fresh blueberries
2 cups
Fresh lemons
1 cup, juiced (about 4-6 lemons)
Granulated sugar
3/4 cup (adjust to taste)
Water
4 cups, chilled
Ice cubes
as needed for serving
Fresh blueberries and lemon slices
for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the fresh blueberries, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sugar. Blend until smooth and well-combined.
  2. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing on the solids with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
  3. Add the chilled water to the pitcher and stir well to combine. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  4. Serve the blueberry lemonade over ice cubes in glasses. Garnish with additional fresh blueberries and lemon slices for an appealing presentation.
  5. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.
