Servings: 4

Ingredients

Salt and pepper
to taste
Cooking oil
2 tablespoons
Green onions
2, sliced
Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
Water
1/4 cup
Cornstarch
1 tablespoon
Fresh ginger
1-inch piece, grated
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Bok choy
1 large head, chopped
Chicken breast
1 pound, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water to create the flavorful sesame sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and thoroughly cooked. This should take about 5 to 7 minutes. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the chopped bok choy. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the bok choy has slightly wilted.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Pour the prepared sesame sauce over the chicken and bok choy.
  6. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are coated in the sauce. Continue to cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season the stir-fry with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish the dish with the sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
  9. Serve hot, ideally with steamed rice or noodles, for a complete meal.
