Servings: 4

Ingredients

Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Green onions
2, chopped
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Ginger
1 tablespoon, minced
Chicken broth
6 cups
Bok choy
2 cups, chopped
Wonton wrappers
1 package
Shrimp
1 pound, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the shrimp, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined and has a paste-like consistency.
  2. Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold in half to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal them completely, ensuring no air is trapped inside. Optionally, you can fold the corners of the triangle towards the center to create a more traditional wonton shape.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, gently add the wontons and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface, indicating they are cooked through.
  4. Add the chopped bok choy and sliced green onions to the pot. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the bok choy is tender and vibrant.
  5. Season the soup with additional salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  6. Ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired.
