Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. This will serve as your stir fry sauce. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Carefully add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Saute for 1-2 minutes, until they release their fragrant aroma.
- Next, add the chopped bok choy to the skillet. Stir fry the bok choy for 3-4 minutes, until it starts to wilt but retains a bit of crunch for texture.
- Drizzle the prepared soy sauce mixture evenly over the bok choy. Continue to stir fry for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and beautifully coats every piece of bok choy.
- Season the dish with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to distribute the seasoning.
- Remove the skillet from heat. Serve your Bok Choy Stir Fry hot as a side dish with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Tips
- You can add a touch of heat by sprinkling some red pepper flakes.
- For a variation, try adding other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
