Bolognese Linguine

A hearty and flavorful Italian dish, Bolognese Linguine is a perfect comfort food for any day.

Ingredients

  • Parmesan cheese (to serve)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Linguine (400 grams)
  • Canned tomatoes (400 grams)
  • Red wine (1/2 cup)
  • Tomato paste (2 tablespoons)
  • Ground beef (500 grams)
  • Celery (1 stalk, finely chopped)
  • Carrot (1, finely chopped)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Onion (1, finely chopped)
  • Olive oil (2 tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery, and cook until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste and red wine, and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add the canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer for about 45 minutes.
  6. In the meantime, cook the linguine according to the package instructions.
  7. Drain the linguine and add it to the pan with the sauce. Toss well to combine.
  8. Serve the Bolognese Linguine with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top.
