Ingredients

Original recipe serves 6

Greek yogurt
2 cups
Cucumber
1, grated
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Fresh mint
1/4 cup, chopped
Fresh dill
1/4 cup, chopped
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Olive oil
2 tablespoons, for drizzling
Walnuts
1/2 cup, chopped
Pomegranate seeds
1/2 cup, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped mint, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are evenly combined and the yogurt is smooth.
  3. Transfer the Borani to a serving dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  4. Drizzle olive oil generously over the surface of the Borani.
  5. Garnish with chopped walnuts and sprinkle pomegranate seeds on top for a pop of color and sweetness.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve chilled as an appetizer or side dish, enjoyed with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
