1 cup
Brown sugar

2 teaspoons
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Unsalted butter
1/2 cup, softened

2 large
Milk
1/2 cup
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Chopped walnuts
1 cup
Ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the softened butter to the dry ingredients, mixing with a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  8. Pour the remaining batter over the topping and then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-walnut mixture on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Serve warm or at room temperature, enjoying its delightful flavors with a cup of coffee or tea.
