
Boston Coffee Cake
This delicious Boston coffee cake is a moist and flavorful treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- Chopped walnuts (1/2 cup)
- Brown sugar (1/2 cup)
- Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Milk (1 cup)
- Eggs (2)
- Unsalted butter (1/2 cup, softened)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Baking powder (2 teaspoons)
- Granulated sugar (1 cup)
- All (purpose flour - 2 cups)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the softened butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, brown sugar, and chopped walnuts.
- Pour half of the batter into the greased cake pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
