1 cup, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. If using homemade pizza dough, prepare it according to your recipe. Otherwise, take the store-bought dough out and allow it to rest for 10-15 minutes.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, typically about 1/2 inch thick for a Boston style pizza.
  4. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet, pressing it into the edges of the pan.
  5. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges to form a crust.
  6. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce to create a cheesy base.
  7. Layer the sliced pepperoni, green bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms evenly over the cheese.
  8. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese, giving the pizza a nice, gooey topping.
  9. Drizzle the olive oil over the pizza for added flavor and moisture.
  10. Sprinkle garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper evenly over the top.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing into generous pieces and serving warm.
