Ice

Bourbon
1.5 ounces
Campari
1 ounce
Sweet Vermouth
1 ounce
Lemon Juice
1/2 ounce
Simple Syrup
1/2 ounce
Soda Water
2 ounces
Orange Twist
1 (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker to the brim with ice.
  2. Pour the bourbon, Campari, sweet vermouth, lemon juice, and simple syrup into the shaker.
  3. Secure the lid on the shaker and vigorously shake for about 15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the ingredients are well combined and chilled.
  4. Strain the cocktail mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Top the cocktail with soda water, and gently stir to combine, making sure not to over stir as this can dull the fizziness.
  6. To finish, curl an orange peel into a twist and garnish the drink.
