Bourbon
2 ounces
Pure maple syrup
1/2 ounce
Fresh lemon juice
1/2 ounce
Angostura bitters
2 dashes
Ice cubes
as needed
Lemon peel
1 piece, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a sturdy cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, pure maple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and Angostura bitters.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice cubes until it's about three-quarters full. Secure the lid tightly.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously for about 20 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty.

Tips

  • 💡 For a sweeter cocktail, you can increase the amount of maple syrup. For a stronger drink, decrease the amount of lemon juice.
  • 💡 Always use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • 💡 You can also garnish with a cherry or a slice of orange for a different twist.
