Shallots
3, finely chopped
Brandy
1/2 cup
Beef or vegetable broth
1 cup
Heavy cream

Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon
Salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped shallots and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
